Wireless Network Zones at UofH

The University has established Wireless Network Zones around campus where you can connect your portable, wireless-capable computer to the University Network and the Internet, free from being "wired-up."

Where you can get it - the Wireless Network Zones
Currently, wireless access is available in all academic buildings on campus, and other selected public areas as follows:

• Abrahms Hall - all areas
• Alfred C. Fuller Music Center (Hartt) - all areas
• Allen Memorial Library (Music) - all public areas (wireless laptop computers are available at the circulation desk for use within the Library!)
• Asylum Avenue campus - most areas
• Auerbach Hall - all areas
• Computer Center - all areas
• Dana Hall/ISET - all areas
• Dance and Opera Center (HDOC) - all areas
• East Hall - all areas
• Gengras Student Union - all public areas and lounges, including dining room
• Hawk Hall - all areas
• Hawk's Nest - See "University Commons"
• Hillyer Hall - all areas
• ISET/Dana Hall - See "Dana Hall/ISET"
• Mortensen Library - most public areas (wireless laptop computers are available at the circulation desk for use within the Library!)
• Konover Campus Center - all areas
• Taub Hall (including Renee Samuels Center) and Ceramics (Art) - all areas
• United Technologies Hall - all areas
• University Commons - dining room and Hawk's Nest

While we do not strive to cover outdoor areas at this time (most laptop and PDA screens are difficult to read outdoors, even in the shade), you might also get a signal outdoors in the following areas:

• Alumni Plaza (between Hawk Hall and University Commons)
• Immediately outside any of the buildings above
• The benches and lawn behind Mortensen Library
• The front steps of Mortensen Library
• Most benches and tables around the Computer Center
• The lawn surrounding Konover Campus Center, including "the dock" (don't drop your computer in the water!)
