Looking Out For Your Health

SWAT is an organization, sponsored by the Connections Health Education and Wellness Center, at the University of Hartford, committed to enhancing the health and well-being of the University of Hartford community including students, faculty and staff.  In conjunction with The Bacchus Network, a national student health education organization, and the American College Health Association’s Healthy Campus 2010 Initiative, SWAT provides educational programming and prevention information for the University of Hartford community, programming consisting of workshops, classroom presentations, informational tabling in Gengras Student Union and large scale campus wide events.  Throughout its history at the university, SWAT, in its past incarnation as The Network, received various student leadership awards and was honored with national recognition from The Bacchus Network for outstanding leadership.  Past programming topics of SWAT include healthy lifestyle habits, relationships, substance use, stress and time management, body image and sexuality just to name a few!

SWAT is always looking to add to its dynamic team of members and team leaders and is open to students, faculty and staff.  If you are faculty and/or staff member with experience or a particular interest in a health & wellness related topic, we encourage you to contact us so that we can find a way for you to bring your knowledge and expertise to SWAT and to the University community.  If you are interested in becoming a member of SWAT, please contact The Connections Health Education and Wellness Center at 768-5433 or at wellness@hartford.edu
