From the Director:
Welcome!
Located on the lower level of University Commons
in room 116 (860.768.5433), Connections Health
Education and Wellness Center is a comprehensive
health promotion service for the University of
Hartford campus community. The center offers
programming, health and wellness resources, an
extensive library of books and professional journals
and an informative user-friendly website:
www.hartford.edu/wellness.
We strive to promote a holistic living and learning
atmosphere that is fun, comfortable and informative
for students, faculty and staff. Our primary goal is to
provide health information and preventative health
campaigns such as Alcohol Awareness Week, Eating
Disorder Awareness Week, Sexual Responsibility
Week, and World AIDS Day, just to name a few.
Connections Health Education and Wellness Center
is operated by professional staff with assistance from
graduate and undergraduate student workers. Internship
and employment opportunities are available.
The Center is also home to the Student Wellness
Awareness Team (SWAT), students who promote
healthy lifestyle awareness and educate other
members of the University community throughout
the school year. Please visit or contact the office for
more information.
We hope to see you soon.
