The University Honors Program requires 18 credit hours of honors coursework.

Details about each college’s specific requirements may be found under the Honors section of each college’s academic program description in the Undergraduate Bulletin. You may also print your college requirements and a check list to aid you in planning your courses under Information for Current Honors Students.

Students participating in courses outside of their school of matriculation must have their programs approved by the honors coordinator of both their college of matriculation and the one in which they are completing the honors requirements.

After completing 9 credits of honors coursework, students must submit a form declaring their intention to continue their participation in the Honors Program.

It is possible to pursue classes outside of the Honors Program and contract with the professor to receive honors credit. The course will require additional assignments as specified by the professor.
