The Honors Program encourages student interaction across colleges in honors sections of general education courses and provides opportunities for enriched or accelerated work within the curricula of the individual colleges. The program provides advanced scholastic and leadership opportunities to academically talented and motivated students.

Students who successfully complete their school’s Honor Program graduate with the special designation of University Honors on their diploma. This prestigious academic achievement is seen as an asset both for post graduate study and by perspective employers.

Honors students at the University are also eligible for the Honors Student Organization and may be eligible for national honors societies based on the societies’ specific requirements.
