The
University Honors Program is a multi-faceted program which
enriches the educational experience of the most capable and
motivated students at the
University
of
Hartford
. It supports
the development of academic courses and co-curricular
activities that challenge students and encourage them to
embrace an array of learning opportunities.
The program enables students to pursue research or to
advance their artistic and creative talents through
one-on-one interactions with faculty mentors. In order to
help students reach their full human potential, the program
helps students develop leadership and personal skills that
will form the basis for future achievement.
Students completing the program receive the special designation
of University Honors on their diploma.
Every college at the University of Hartford has defined
a special honors experience for its students that may include
special courses, interdisciplinary seminars, independent
studies and senior projects.
The Honors Program is overseen by a University Honors committee
composed of coordinators
from all the schools and colleges.
The Honors Program
sponsors an annual Undergraduate
Research and Creativity Colloquium to showcase outstanding student work. Click
