Stash It, Don't Trash It in 2011
Back to homepage.

This was another successful year. We filled the trailer twice and got rid of most of it to the Salvation Army, Vecinos Unidos, A Hand Up, Catholic Charities:Migration and Refugee Services, and Manchester Area Council of Churches. You can learn more about them on our Recipients page. Key helpers from faculty were Sharon Shepela, Charles Ross, Ellen Wetherbee, and Donn Weinholtz. The only students helping were Nate McDonald and Hannah Kluger. We need more, younger helpers! None of this would have been possible without Fallon Moving & Storage in Windsor, who loaned us the trailer.

Nate McDonald volunteered through the Center for Community Service.

This is the second filling of the truck. The Salvation Army cleaned out most of the first filling. Here members of Vecinos Unidos are collecting items.

More stuff for Vecinos Unidos.

This is the first truck load for Vecinos Unidos. There is also a full car. They came back for another truckful.

These are the couches, table, chairs, and lamps that A Hand Up collected the next day.

This big snapper was hiding under Jay's tarp when he came back to clean up for the truck sale.
