Syllabi & Course Materials

The President's College
This program, founded over fifteen years ago at the University of Hartford, offers non-credit courses for the general community. As one of those involved in its foundation, I have been a regular contributor to the President's College, beginning with a four-year marathon course on all the works of Shakespeare, a program I then repeated for a further four years. I have also taught courses on individual plays or groups of plays of Shakespeare, on his contemporaries, on the Romantic poets (particularly Wordsworth and Keats), on the close reading and appreciation of poetry, and on Bertolt Brecht and modern theatre.  I now serve as director of the program.
