Beta Iota Pledge class is Initiated

(WEST HARTFORD, CT) December 3rd 2010, The eight men of the Beta Iota Pledge class have been officially initiated into the brotherhood of Theta Chi Fraternity. Throughout the semester they learned as a team what it means to be a Theta Chi, and graduated the new member program on December third.

(WEST HARTFORD, CT) April 4th, 2009, Theta Chi fraternity launched their annual philanthropy event with great success. The fraternity members worked with the Connecticut Habitat for Humanity chapter at the University to raise money for “Build Week” awareness.
Theta Chi, along with the help from sorority Delta Gamma, set up a tent and tables on the village lawn and sold hot dogs to the University of Hartford students. All of the fraternity members turned out for the all day sale which continued into the next day. The student body responded well, helping Theta Chi earn nearly $400 for the charity. |

Every year an award is presented to the fraternity who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the philanthropic work within the University of Hartford community and beyond. This year, Theta Chi’s philanthropic efforts did not go unnoticed. At the Greek Life banquet this past spring; Theta Chi received the award for Outstanding Philanthropy.
The members said that by doing this event they have learned the value of “extending a helping hand” and are proud of their accomplishment. They look forward to future events where they hope to be even more successful in doing their part for the community.
