It is a pleasure to welcome you to the official World Wide Web Pages of the Studying and Self-Regulated Learning (SSRL) Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association.

Mission Statement: The Studying and Self-Regulated Learning (SSRL) SIG is dedicated to promoting the development of theory and research in academic studying and self-regulated learning across the life span. The SIG brings together researchers and practitioners to share expertise in all aspects of self-regulated learning, including motivation, metacognition, learning and studying strategies, and the ways in which learners manage their emotions and environments.

The SIG is a great opportunity for Masters and Doctoral students who are interested in studying and self-regulated learning research to work with leading researchers and to present their findings in an academic and support atmosphere. Student affiliates are especially encouraged to become proactive participants of the SIG. If any of you are interested in joining this SIG and would like further information, please contact the SIG Co-chairs.
