FITNESS AND LEISURE DESCRIPTIONS


STEP AEROBICS
The Latest in aerobic workout. Each participant has their own Reebok Step to perform different exercises. Each class starts with elementary exercises that are gradually increased in difficulty.
 
STEP AND SCULPTING
A class designed with a warm-up, a joint prep and Step Aerobics, followed by toning and strengthening exercises to work and shape muscles, especially the abs, hips, thighs, and buttocks. This is done with hand-held weights, ankle weights, Dynabands-tubing and stretching for flexibility.
 
STEP LOW AND HIGH
An Intermediate aerobics class designed for Step for vertical movement for toning inner and outer thighs, hips, and buttocks. This class will consist of a warm-up, cool down and stretching for flexibility. A real FAT BURNER!
 
TONING EXERCISES/GUT BUSTER AND SCULPTING
A non-aerobic class designed to strengthen and tone major muscles, especially abs, thighs, and buttocks. A warm-up and joint prep are followed by a variety of exercises using hand-held weights, ankle weights, and Dynabands-tubing with stretching for flexibility. A great supplement to an Aerobic workout!
 
HIP HOP STEP/FUNK AEROBICS
The latest in Aerobic exercise. Participants have their own Reebok Step perform different exercises. A Combination of high and low impact Aerobic for variety and challenge to a hip hop/funky beat.
 
WEIGHT TRAINING CLASSES
These classes are designed as an independent study to allow students to fulfill their physical education requirement. Students can set up times of workouts that will easily fit into their schedules.
 
LIFEGUARD TRAINING
A training course for American Red Cross certification to become a lifeguard. Basic swimming skills are required. All American Red Cross lifesaving skills are taught. To be certified, each individual must have passed all American Red Cross Skills Tests.
 
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR
Train instructor candidates to teach the Infant & Preschool Aquatic Program the seven levels of the Learn to Swim Program.
 
TAE-KWON-DO
Tae-Kwon-Do is an ancient Korean art of self-defense. This course designed for all levels of ability. Form, basic skills, and sparring techniques will be taught.
 
SELF DEFENSE
This is a class for both men and women that requires no previous experience. This class is made up of a combination of techniques and borrowed styles in which people can defend themselves against common attacks.
 
SCUBA
Become PADI(Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified through this introduction to scuba diving. No Experience necessary. Students will be required to purchase their own scuba gear. For additional information call x5050.
 
AQUA AEROBIC
Get fit through this low-impact aerobic exercise. Taught by a certified Water Aerobic Instructor. No swimming skills are required!
