Q: How old does my child have to be to use the facility without my guidance?
A: The child must be 16 years or older and carry a current membership card to enter the building unaccompanied. If the child is under 16, he or she must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
 
Q: If I am an alumnus/alumna, how do I join and what is the procedure for my spouse and or family to join?
A: Alumnus/alumna must present an alumni card or diploma and drivers license or other photo ID. If the spouse would like to join, the alumnus/alumna must come to the sports center with his/her spouse. The spouse may only join if the alumnas/alumna joins. The procedure is the same for family memberships.
 
Q: How do I as faculty/staff, join the sports center?What proof do I need for my spouse?
A: Full-time faculty/staff may join the sports center by payroll deduction or may pay in full. Please come to the sports center office and complete an application. Bring your current faculty/staff ID card and please accompany your spouse for his/her initial sign up.
 
Q: What proof of residence do I show that proves I am an eligible member?
A: You must show two forms of ID. A driver's license or other photo identification and either an alumni card/diploma, faculty/staff ID card or, for neighborhood associates, a current piece of mail. We do not accept leases as proof of residency.
 
Q: Are corporate memberships available?
A: Yes, however, a minimum of five memberships is required in order to receive the corporate membership rate. Please send a letter on company letterhead to the Sports Center Director, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06117.
 
Q: Can mens basketball season ticket holders join the sports center?
A: Yes. Come to the Sports Center Office and fill out an application. Please bring your driver's license or other photo ID.
 
Q: How can I pay for my Sports Center membership?
A: We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, checks and cash. Payment in full is required of all memberships, except faculty/staff payroll deductions which still require a deposit.
