FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS-Courts

Q. How do I reserve a court?

A. Reservations are accepted on a daily basis for the racquetball and squash courts. Please call no more than one day in advance to reserve a court. If you wish to reserve a court for several days you must call each day for a reservation; long-term or standing reservations are not accepted. The phone number is 860-768-5070.

Q. If there are racquetball or squash courts available when I sign in, may I use them??

A. Yes. When you sign in, ask the monitor if any courts are available. If a court is available, you may reserve it.

Q. What is the dress policy on the courts?

A. You must wear athletic-type shoes (no black soles) and gym attire. No street clothes are permitted.

Q. Are other sports permitted on the courts?

A. No. The courts are used for racquetball and squash only. There is one multi-purpose court available for basketball.

Q. What is the policy on eye protection?

A. Eye protection must be worn on the racquetball and squash courts at all time. No exceptions! All members must provide their own.

Q. Are there tennis courts?

A. Yes. There are six lighted tennis courts. The light switches are controlled by a timer and are on from sundown to 10 p.m.

Q. When are the tennis courts available?

A. During the fall and spring, the tennis teams have priority. Otherwsie, the courts are avialable on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q. Are private lessons allowed?

A. The Sports Center contracts all certified personal trainers/coaches to help members/students with their needs. The racquetball, tennis and squash courts are not to be used to conduct private personal lessons. Members may not bring in teams to practice or hold tournaments on the courts.
