Jen Shea, M.Ed.
Assistant Director for Facilities and Administrative Operations

Hi! My name is Jennifer Shea and I am the Assistant Director for Facilities and Administrative Operations. In this role, I am responsible for housing operations and procedures. I work closely with the Facilities Department to ensure our residential areas are in their best condition and also oversee Residential Life assessment and technology initiatives.
Prior to coming to the University of Hartford, I worked as the Coordinator for Staff Selection and Training in the Office of Residence Life at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. I also have six years of experience as a Resident Director; spending four of those at the University of Alaska - Fairbanks in Fairbanks, AK and two at Jamestown College in Jamestown, ND. My educational background includes bachelor's degrees in both criminal justice and vocal performance and a master’s degree in cross cultural education. Some of my passions outside of work include traveling, yoga, running, and photography.
I am honored to be a member of the Residential Life team and look forward to the year ahead!
