Jason Borges, M.S.

Hello Hartford Hawks!  My name is Jason Borges and I’m the Assistant Director of Residential Life for Apartment Living.  I’m beginning my first year at the University of Hartford and am very excited about moving to Connecticut and working with everyone here on campus.

Pursuing a career in student affairs was an easy decision for me as I loved my college experience and wanted to help others do the same.  As an undergraduate student at Arizona State University, I was involved with numerous activities including being a resident assistant, homecoming chair, and summer orientation leader.  After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in communication and theatre, I pursued my master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University, where in addition to holding assistantships in housing, I was also a very active volunteer with their Alumni Association.

Most recently, before beginning my current position, I worked at Western Carolina University in North Carolina for three years as a Resident Director.  I really enjoyed my time in the Appalachian mountains and working with my fantastic co-workers and student staff.  Nevertheless, the opportunity to be involved with Hartford’s Office of Residential Life during this exciting period of growth and change was too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Feel free to stop by my office at any time to introduce yourself or ask for help when needed.  During the evenings, when not swimming or at my karate studio, you’ll also frequently find me stopping by various programs and meetings in Park River Apartments, Regents Park Suites, or the Village Apartments
