Psi
Chi is the National Honorary Society for psychology majors or minors.
Its purpose is to promote an interest in psychology on campus. Admission
to Psi Chi requires that the student has taken PSY 101, 102, 270W,
and two other psychology courses. The student must also have a 3.25
GPA in psychology and a 3.00 overall to be eligible for membership.
Each year, Psi Chi sponsors a student conference. University
of Hartford students can present empirical and theoretical papers
along with poster sessions.
Psychology Society
The Psychology Society is open to all students who are interested
in psychology. The club provides the opportunity to discuss and
get involved in psychological issues with other students who are
similarly oriented outside the classroom. The agenda and projects
are generated by students and may include speakers, movies, field
trips, volunteer work, and assorted projects.
Psi Chi and the Psychology Society are currently meeting together.
