The New England College of Optometry maintains an affiliation with
the University of Hartford
in a joint B.S./O.D. program which allows students to enter the University
of Hartford with a conditional
acceptance to the New England College of Optometry. Students must maintain a
3.40 GPA and score appropriately on the OAT while at the University
of Hartford, and any other entrance
requirements.This is an
accelerated program that is academically demanding and students must complete
90 credits at the University of Hartford
and have no grades in required courses that are less than a "C"
. Students should send a letter of intent to the Office of Admissions at
the New England College of Optometry on matriculation at the University of
Hartford. Students who complete the joint degree will save one year of time in
their education as well as one year of tuition and related expenses. To
