HOME MAJOR MINOR FACULTY COURSES

The Department of Politics and Government offers an undergraduate major and minor. The department presents an outstanding, coherent major in the fields of American government, comparative politics and government, international relations, political theory, and public law.

Politics and Government makes its graduates intellectually and ethically aware and encourages them to assume responsibility for the manner in which they are governed and spend their lives. Politics and Government strives to enable its students to make sense out of the relations that mark humans as individuals and as components of larger units.

Students majoring or minoring in Politics have an opportunity for small classes, individualized instruction and personalized advising. Many students study off campus, either abroad, in Washington semester, and/or in internships.
