Professor Aliotta teaches classes in law, American politics, and women in Politics. She received her Ph.D from the University of Minnesota and has also taught at Miami (Ohio) University. Her current research investigates the impact of women on the judiciary in the United States.

Professor Anderson teaches courses in political theory and American politics. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 2003. His research examines the role of civic education in early American political life. He is on leave during the 2008-09 school year.

Nadia Brown is Jackie McLean Dissertation Completion Fellow in Politics and Government. She teaches classes in American government as well
as Gender and Politics. She will receive her PhD from
Rutgers University in May 2010. Her project analyzes how
the intersectional identities and subgroup membership of
female Black legislators in the Maryland state legislature
shapes their legislative decisions in comparison to White
men, White women, and Black men. Specifically the
dissertation focuses on the role that identity plays in
legislative decision making and representation.
