Photographic Journey To the Summit of Mount Everest

Sophia Danenberg will describe and show pictures from her 2006 summit of Mount Everest. She is the first African-American and the first black woman to climb Everest (news story). Her initial interest in rock climbing was surpassed by mountaineering when she climbed Mt. Rainier in 2002. Since then she has climbed on some of the highest mountains on several continents with Mt. Everest her most recent accomplishment. Back to Outing Club website.
