Hike or Bike in Penwood State Park

BRING: Wear bright colors, even though it looks like hunting is not allowed in the park.

Rain or wind break, comfortable shoes (the trails are fairly easy), water bottle, snacks, and a camera.
Bikers should bring a cell phone for coordination of departures from the park. IF ASKED, Jay will have a bike rack that can hold 3 bikes barely, but most of the passengers may be hikers, so bring a car.

Directions:

Turn right out of UH entrance and bear left at fork (Rt. 185) on Simsbury Road. Follow for about 5-6 miles to Penwood State Park and park in the State Park parking lot: see map below.
