As the current serving president for the 2006-2007 term, on behalf of myself and executive members of the University of Hartford National Society of Black Engineers Chapter website, I cordially welcome you. The objective of this site is to keep our executive and general members and the University of Hartford public informed of all activities currently in our pipeline and more importantly empower our chapter through shared experiences and networking.

NSBE’s mission is “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.” As a chapter WE LIVE NSBE’s mission and have committed ourselves to individuals professional growth, chapter and membership expansion through participation in various workshops focusing on academic excellence, professional success, and community involvement.

Browse through our photo gallery, view our semester of events and check out our Alumni page where passed members share their experiences on what a critical role NSBE has played in their lives. Also click on our PCI chapter link to see our efforts in initiating our first Pre College Initiative at the University High School of Science and Engineering. Check our resources where you will find scholarships information, internships and research opportunities, and fulltime jobs.

If you would like to join our membership please email any of our executive members. We hope that this site will provide you with complete information about our Chapter.

We are focused on the continued reinforcement of the positive image of NSBE worldwide.

Again Welcome! And we encourage students of all majors attending the University of Hartford to be apart of our prestigious organization.

Sincerely

Manelle Samuels
