Policies

  1. Academic Classes: Equipment must be ordered by using our online form. Please place the order 2 business days (Monday - Friday) advance of the class.
  2. Non Class Events: Equipment must be orders using our online form. Please place the order 5 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance of the event.

  3. Students: If a student needs equipment for a class their professor must place the order with us. If a student needs equipment for club or academic group, the advisor to the club or group must place the order with MTS.

  4. Weekend Events: Because MTS is closed after 5pm on Friday, all weekend events will incur a $22.50/hr charge for a 4 hour minimum for a technician to be present.

  5. Long Term Orders: Faculty may request to borrow equipment for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time. Additionally the borrower must fill out a form stating that they are responsible for the equipment.

  6. Equipment Rental Prices: Please see the services page for a list of rental prices.

  7. Classroom Computers and Laptops: For security reasons, any software or files placed on a MTS laptop or classroom computer will be erased when the computer is restarted.

  8. Classroom Instruction: Instructions on how to use the equipment in the classrooms can be found on the classroom page. You can also request an instruction session with a MTS technician in the classroom you are teaching in. Please use the equipment order form to schedule the session, please place the request 2 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance.
