    4. Pages 178-180.

    4. “Default Selections” and “The F11 Key”, page 164.

    7. “Linking Versus Embedding”, page 175.
    8. “Linking Worksheets”, page 176.
    9. “To Click Or Double Click”, page 177.

 

Task 2: Hands-On Exercises

  1. Copy the Lab File, “Software Sales.xls”, from my Assignments web page or from the local workstation C: drive (which is accessible only from the classroom network) to a diskette.

 

  1. Do Hands-On Exercise 1, pages 149-158, from the Microsoft Excel, Chapter 4: Graphs and Charts section of the lab book. You do not need to print this version of the spreadsheet. It is used as a starting point for the next exercise.

 

  1. Do Hands-On Exercise 2, pages 162-168, from the Microsoft Excel, Chapter 4: Graphs and Charts section of the lab book. Attach a hardcopy printout of the workbook, i.e. all worksheets, to this sheet.

 

  1. Copy the Lab File, “Software Memo.doc”, from my Assignments web page or from the local workstation C: drive (which is accessible only from the classroom network) to a diskette.

 

  1. Do Hands-On Exercise 3, pages 170-178, from the Microsoft Excel, Chapter 4: Graphs and Charts section of the lab book. Attach a hardcopy printout of the memo to this sheet.
