Expected Outcomes
The MET Program is designed so that MET graduates can achieve a relevant and current set of program outcomes and, by achieving these, be prepared to pursue a career in engineering technology. Upon completion of the MET program, the successful graduate will be able to:
- Apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering principles to the testing, production and design implementation of electromechanical systems and processes.
- Apply current technologies such as computer aided engineering software and graphics to the solution of technical problems.
- Demonstrate competence in manufacturing processes, instrumentation, control and automation, and thermal-fluids.
- Function effectively as a member of a project-oriented team.
- Effectively communicate in written and oral form.
- Apply a knowledge of professional standards, ethics, and social and global issues to his/her professional work.
- Have an appreciation for and a commitment to quality, timeliness and continuous improvement.
