League Volunteers Help Usher in New Voting Machines

League volunteers partnered with Registrars of Voters and the Office of
the Secretary of the State to introduce citizens in Hartford, West Hartford,
Bloomfield, and Wethersfield to the new optical scan voting technology
used for the first time in the 2007 primary and general elections. Led by
Elisa McCarthy, eleven League volunteers provided significant community
outreach during September and October.
