My email isn't working or I received a warning from ITS that my email is full?
You may have to restart your email account before you can check your account storage space, then I can help you setup some local folders to transfer mail quickly off of the server, so you can take some time on your own to sort through what you really need to save for future reference.

Reboot, that fixes most problems.

My printer isn't printing?
Rebooting usually helps this problem also, you might have to turn the printer off and then back on when you reboot. You should make sure you have paper and the printer is turned on. If you see a printer in the lower right hand corner of your screen (next to the time), double click on it to see if you have a bunch of jobs stuck that are keeping you from printing. If you see a long list of jobs, click on each one, then click Document and Cancel.

How do I setup an out of office message in my email?
On a PC, in Internet Explorer, go to http://mail.hartford.edu:8000 . Log in with your email address and password, click the "+" next to Administration, then click the "+" next to Mail, then click Account. Under the Auto Response tab fill in the subject and body of the message that you want everyone to receive while you are away from the office. Click the check box to Enable Auto Response , then click Update and then Log Off.

What if my students don't want to use their University of Hartford email in Blackboard?
A University of Hartford email account is required to use Blackboard, but they can forward the email to another account.

How do I change my password for the campus network and email?
Great idea, you should change your password regularly!
Faculty and staff should go to http://ned.hartford.edu/pwdx/passwd-hartford.asp . This will only change your password on the network, you might need my help to change your password on your computer. If you have saved your password in Outlook, you will find it under the Tools menu; Click Accounts, Click the Properties button, and Click the Servers tab. Type your new password in the Password field, Click OK, then Click Close.
