G. Distribution Structure

 

Sporting goods retailers average two to three stores in each target area.  Their distribution intensity is low because they are the sole channel of distribution, thus they are exclusive in the smaller retail area.  However, when looked at globally, in terms of e-business strategies, their distribution intensity is higher because they face more competition, and are therefore exclusive in their distribution channels.
