D. 4. Economic Environment
The purpose of this section is to assess the impact of the current and future economic environment on the organization. Most organizations are greatly impacted by the economic environment in usually a pro-cyclical but sometimes a counter-cyclical fashion. In general, economic forecasts are easy to find as there are many sources for them. As the economic environment can vary considerably from country to country, multinational organizations will need to assess the economic environments of each country they are involved with, or would like to be involved with.
