III. EXTERNAL SITUATION ANALYSIS

D. 1. A. Core technology.

The core technology for a product refers to the technology that actually becomes part of the product. For instance, an automobile has several hundred core technology issues including such things as engine technology, body coatings technology, several different metallurgical technologies etc.

This section should describe the rate of change and the forecast for these core technologies.
