D. 1. Technological.
The technological environment is the only part of this section that really straddles the micro and macro environments. That is because some of the technological issues will be firm specific, some will be industry specific and some are really macro issues, or issues common to all organizations.
The purpose of this section is to describe the rate of change and the forecasted future for each of the major components of technology that an organization is confronted with.
