Study
Abroad Fair
Have
you ever wanted to study Japanese in
Japan, architecture in Italy, film
in New Zealand, or politics in South
Africa?
Come to the Study Abroad Fair and
learn about the many extraordinary
opportunities to study in other
countries!
The Study Abroad Fair will be held
on Spring Date TBA
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in
Gengras Suisman Lounge.
You will have a chance to meet with
study abroad program providers from
all over the world. Financial
assistance can be used for study
abroad and scholarships are
available.
Studying abroad will not only be an
amazing experience, but it will also
give you lots of skills that can
make you more marketable after
graduation. Whatever field you want
to work in, employers value
international experience very highly
among college graduates.
Earn University of Hartford credit
while abroad and graduate on time.
There is a program for every major.
This can be the most challenging and
rewarding experience of your life.

Winter
Program Information Session
Oppression,
Resistance & Human Rights: Political and
Philosophical perspectives in Prague,
Czech Republic - January 3-18, 2009.
Study human rights in Eastern Europe
from World War II to the present
from a philosophical and political
perspective. Visit Prague Castle and
the Jewish Ghetto,
visit Theresienstadt concentration
camp, and talk with politicians and
thinkers from Eastern Europe.
Students will choose six credits
from the following: AUCS 110 Sources
of Power; AUCW 180 Western Heritage;
POL 383, 483; or PHI 470, 471
(Independent Studies).
Price- $4,896
includes tuition, housing, excursions, and some group meals.
$1,000 deposit
due with an application by October 30th. Final payment due December 1st.

Discovering
Britain
- May 23- June 10, 2009.
Study 18th and 19th century England
through Literary Imagination!
Explore Bath, the Lake District, and
London as you compare the country
and city, agriculture and industry,
and aristocracy and middle class!
Students will choose 6 credits
from the following: AUCA/AUCW 170:
Discovering Britain or ENG 380 or
381 Independent Study.
Total trip cost is
approximately $5,500 which
includes: 6 UH credits, lodging,
some meals, excursions, and MEDEX
insurance.
$1,000 deposit due with an
application by February 1st. Final payment due March 1st.
