Welcome to the official web page of the University of Hartford's Human Subjects Committee.
The Human Subjects Committee at the University of Hartford is charged with the ethical review and oversight of research that involves the participation of human subjects. The complementary concerns of the Human Subjects Committee are to protect the individual from harm and to support the advancement of ethics in science.
We trust that you will find this web site resourceful. We strongly encourage you to review the requirements/process and general FAQ sections of this site as they may answer many of your questions regarding human subjects. The committee meets monthly to review proposals. New HSC materials have been developed and are now available in the Resource Depot. All researchers will be expected to be familiar with and to use these new forms by October 1, 2009.
