Peter Allen died in 1992 at age 48.
Amanda Blake died in 1989 at age 60.
John Curry died in 1994 at age 44.
Brad Davis died in 1991 at age 41.
Perry Ellis died in 1986 at age 46.
Elizabeth Glaser died in 1994 at age 47.
Rock Hudson died in 1985 at age 59.
Liberace died in 1987 at age 67.
Robert Mappelthorpe died in 1989 at age 42.
Freddie Mercury died in 1991 at age 45.
Tony Perkins died in 1992 at age 60.
Dack Rambo died in 1994 at age 52.
Robert Reed died in 1992 at age 59.
Larry Riley died in 1992 at age 39.
Max Robinson died in 1988 at age 49.
Ray Sharkey died in 1993 at age 40.
Willi Smith died in 1987 at age 39.
Unfortunately, these names are only the beginning of a list that could go
on endlessly. Famous people do offer some hope to those living with
AIDS. An example being Rock Hudson at the time of his death there were
only 8000 reported AIDS cases in the U.S.. The general public was not
educated in this area they had to learn about the virus. At this point
education of the American public began its tedious route. A
quater-million Americans have died of AIDS since Rock Hudson and 40,000
new people become victims of the HIV virus each year in the U.S.. This
should tell you people are not getting the message, AIDS does not
discriminate and there is no cure.
