POTENTIAL NEW MEMBER’S BILL OF RIGHTS
It is important you know what you are entitled to throughout the recruitment process.
The following Potential New Member's Bill of Rights was adopted unanimously at the 1989 National Panhellenic Conference Biennial Meeting and is still today presented to all women going through the recruitment process. Should you have any questions at anytime, please ask your Recruitment Counselor as their job is to assist you with the recruitment process.
The following are your rights as a potential new member:
You have the right to be treated as an individual.
You have the right to be fully informed about the recruitment process.
You have the right to ask questions and receive true and objective answers from recruitment counselors and members.
You have the right to be treated with respect.
You have the right to be treated as a capable and mature person without being patronized.
You have the right to have and express opinion to recruitment counselors.
You have the right to have inviolable confidentiality when sharing information with
Recruitment Counselors.
You have the right to make informed choices without undue pressure from others.
You have the right to be fully informed about the binding agreements implicit in the
membership acceptance signing.
You have the right to make one’s own choice and decision and accept full responsibility for the results of that decision.
You have the right to have a positive, safe, and enriching recruitment and new member experience.
