Course Description: Greek 101 is an interactive class/workshop for all new members of the Greek community at the University of Hartford. Students will learn more about the critical issues leaders encounter related to the Greek community. Not only do students have the chance to participate in open discussions with other Greek members and current leaders, they will have the opportunity to be a “change agent” in the community. The new members will learn about the many challenges and rewards associated with the responsibilities of being a member of in the Greek community.

 

Goals: Greek 101 will give the new member a strong foundation of the Greek community from the perspective of current student leaders and their Greek Life advisor. Students will have the opportunity to interactive with each other as new members along with current Greek members and professional staff. By the end of this workshop/class, the new members will have a better understanding of what it means to be Greek and how to use their Greek affiliation to enhance their overall college experience.
