Dr. Dale joined the faculty of the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology (GIPP) in the Fall of 2004. She is a clinical child psychologist licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts. At GIPP, she is involved in the Women’s Research and Mentoring Group. She is also working with Dr. McCloskey on developing a psychophysiology laboratory. Her research will focus on children’s emotion regulation abilities and the impact of familial factors. Dr. Dale completed her internship at the Judge Baker Children’s Center/Children’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School). She developed an interest in working with medically ill including those with cancer (Dana Farber Cancer Institute), metabolic and mitochondrial disorders (Metabolic Clinic, Children’s Hospital), failure-to-thrive (Growth and Nutrition Clinic, Children’s Hospital), and diabetes (Department of Endocrinology, Boston Medical Center).


Prior to joining GIPP, Dr. Dale was on the faculty at Boston University Medical Center, where she was directing the Child Psychiatry Urgent Care Team, combined consultation/liaison and emergency services. She was also co-directing psychology training for the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center.
