We look forward to the challenge at this international competition! Currently, the Hartford Motorsports team is hard at work doing many different things. Here's some updates on the progress of everything: Last week, the team attended 2 additional allocations meetings and Hartford's SGA has given us another $5500 for the car. Lots of thanks to SGA! Steve has recently finalized the suspension design for the 2008 car, and Jon and the fabrication team has started making a-arms. The team has completed all of the mounting locations for suspension control arms. Jon has designed the rocker arm system for the car, and has begun mocking up the front and rear push/pull rod system. Brett and the engine team has successfully fuel injected the YFZ 450 with the Haltech system, and is continuing work on fine tuning the system. The engine team hopes to design a new air intake soon. The frame is completed and finish welded. Nick and a few team members have mocked up the seat pan and dash board, and we hope to have these components laser cut within a few weeks. The 2007 still remains on the dyno tester for tuning purposes, but it still is able to be driven. George continues work on making wheel nuts, spindles, etc. Some new pictures of the team's progress in the past month:
