WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD'S FORMULA ONE RACE TEAM'S HOMEPAGE!

From the homepage you have access to many valuable resources.  If for some reason you can't find what you are looking for please feel free to contact a team member and we will be more than happy to give the information you want to know.

The concept behind the Formula SAE program is that the students are essentially running a business that is producing 1,000 cars per year for the weekend autocrosser.  The students handle all aspects of this business from design, acquisition of materials and fabrication.  At the end of each year the team goes to competition to showcase their car and to compete against other teams from the United States and around the world in different events.

The Formula SAE program at the university has been found to be a valuable asset to students as it allows them to apply concepts learned in the classroom to a realworld situation.  While most people think of a racecar a purely mechanical engineering creation at the University of Hartford this organization is open to all majors and colleges on campus to allow anyone and everyone to participate in this rewarding experience.

If you still have questions when you are finished looking through the website please feel free to contact a team member and we will be more than happy to give you the information you want to know.  To join the team please contact our recruitment manager at HartfordFSAE@gmail.com.
