A fictional manufacturing company has contracted a student design team to develop a Formula-style race car. The prototype race car will be evaluated for its market potential in a series of "static" and "dynamic" events. The product's target demographic is the weekend autocross racer. Each University's team designs, builds and tests a prototype racer based on a series of rules that are intended to govern track safety and also stir up some creative problem solving.
Our goal is to provide student members with valuable skills and experience. Each year HMS will design and build a formula race car from scratch. All of the work will be done by students in the HMS work shop. Pursuit of performance and competative advantage will will promote creative thinking, problem solving and communication to accomplish a common goal.
Every team member will have a chance to lean how to drive the car through a number of event types. Practice sessions will determine who are the best drivers for each event. These drivers will race their respective events at the competition HMS attends in May of each year.
Meetings will be held on Saturdays at 8:00AM at United Tool and Die. Feel free to contact HMS at email@example.com
