Welcome to the FLAIRS 2004 homepage!
We invite you to join us in May at the Palms South Beach Hotel for the 17th
International FLAIRS conference. The
program includes three full days of paper presentations in several areas of
AI. As a result of a significant
increase in paper submission this year, we are adding a fourth concurrent
session to each of the three days. In
addition, the program features five outstanding keynote speakers
and over twenty special
tracks in various areas of AI. Accepted
papers will appear in the conference proceedings which will be published by
AAAI Press. For the first time this year, FLAIRS proceedings, published
by AAAI Press, will be provided on CD and will include past issues of FLAIRS
proceedings since 1998.
FLAIRS 2004 will be held at the Palms
South Beach Hotel, an elegant oceanfront resort with a tropical
setting. The Palms is ideally located
on the northern end of South Beach and
is close to the historic art deco district, scenic ocean drive, and several South
Beach attractions. We have arranged for a limited number of
rooms at the low conference rate of $129 per night for city view and $149 per
night for ocean view. This is an
outstanding rate for the area and there are a limited number reserved under
this rate. In addition to the record
number of submissions, we expect a record attendance at the conference. To ensure a room at this conference rate,
you are encouraged to make your reservation as soon as possible before the
rooms with conference rates sell out.
