Faculty Guide - Emergency (less than two weeks)

Blackboard is a Learning Management System. It provides you with a ready-made course template so you can put your courses on the Internet without having to be a computer programmer. This guide is designed to get you started with Blackboard in the unlikely event that the University is shut down due to an emergency. This guide pertains to a short period of shut down time - less than two weeks.

The handouts are in both html and Microsoft Word formats. Simply click the (HTML) link to open it in a web page or click the (MS Word) link to get the word format. To save any of these documents to your computer, do the following:

1. Click onto the hyperlinked MS Word.
2. You will get two options: Open or Save.
3. Click "Save" to save a copy of the file to your computer.
4. Click "Open" to open the file within the browser.
5. Note: On a MAC, you can only download these files not view them within the browser.
