Customizing Course Template

It is possible to fully customize the course buttons that appear on the left in your course. Blackboard calls these buttons the “Course Menu.” You can rename, hide, remove, or add new buttons to your Course Menu. You can also add images to your course, use different font styles and color, and create a 'banner' that appears at the top of the default first page of your course.

The handouts are in both html and Microsoft Word formats. Simply click the (HTML) link to open it in a web page or click the (MS Word) link to get the word format. To save any of these documents to your computer, do the following:

  1. Click onto the hyperlinked MS Word.
  2. You will get two options: Open or Save.
  3. Click "Save" to save a copy of the file to your computer.
  4. Click "Open" to open the file within the browser.
  5. Note: On a MAC, you can only download these files not view them within the browser.
