Making Courses Available

Blackboard course sites are created automatically for all academic courses sixty days in advance of the first day of the term. However, courses are created as ‘unavailable’ to students (hidden from students but accessible to the instructor). Instructors must change the setting to every course every semester when they are ready for students to access the course. Instructions for doing so are below.

The handouts are in both html and Microsoft Word formats. Simply click the (HTML) link to open it in a web page or click the (MS Word) link to get the word format. To save any of these documents to your computer, do the following:

1. Click onto the hyperlinked MS Word.
2. You will get two options: Open or Save.
3. Click "Save" to save a copy of the file to your computer.
4. Click "Open" to open the file within the browser.
5. Note: On a MAC, you can only download these files not view them within the browser.
