*Materials complements of Professor Lynne Kelly, Communication

Beebe and Masterson (1999) identify several strategies to enhance group effectiveness, among them are the need for: clear group goals and outcomes (e.g., the quality of individual and group projects and desired grade), clear group expectations and rules (e.g., being on time for meetings, what should be done if a meeting is missed or individual work is not completed on time) and, the identification of group members’ strengths (i.e., skills necessary for successful completion of group projects). The following is a series of questions designed to assess individual group members’ perceived level of commitment to group projects. These questions also provide the group with an idea of the strengths of individual group members. No names are attached to this questionnaire so please answer honestly.
