
Enabling Javascript in
your Internet Browser
Blackboard 7 requires that your browser accommodate both Javascript
and Java for some functions of the course. These are functions you can turn on
in your browser.
Enabling
JavaScript in Internet Explorer (Windows)
- Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools à
Internet Options.
- Click
on the Security Tab, then Custom Level.


- Scroll
to the section titled Scripting.
- Verify
that Active Scripting is
Enabled.
- Click
OK.
- Click
Yes to the Warning.
- Click
OK.
Enabling
JavaScript in Internet Explorer (Macintosh)
- Open Internet Explorer and go to Internet Explorer
à
Preferences.
- Click
on Web Content.
- Under
Active Content, select Enable Scripting box, then OK.


Enabling
JavaScript in Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox and Select Tools à Options
- Select the Content tab.
- Under Enable JavaScript and Enable
Java, make sure there is a checkmark.
- Click OK.


Enabling
JavaScript in Netscape
1. Open Netscape
and Select Edit à Preferences
(under Mac it is Netscape à
Preferences).
2. Click on to Advanced to
expand the menu (see Figure 1).

Select Scripts and Plugins.
4. Under Enable JavaScript
click on the box next to Navigator if there is not a checkmark.
5. Click OK.

Safari (Mac)
- Open
Safari and select Safari à
Preferences.
- Click
on Security.
- Select
Enable JavaScript Box.
