Program Review

Major, Minor, And Certificate Program In Rhetoric And Professional Writing (RPW)

Revise Existing Program

RLC: Program Review: A request by the Department of Rhetoric, Language, and Culture (RLC) to change its program name to Rhetoric and Professional Writing (RPW) to better reflect its new direction. Concurrently technical writing - communication aspects are eliminated from course offerings due to lack of faculty and resource support.

Courses: Minor tweaks to a number of courses to align them with the program name change and the removal of technical writing emphasis.

Revise Existing Pgr.

Program Review: Addition of six .5 credit seminar type courses for the BS in HS / Doctorate in PT program.  Courses will help with mentoring students, keep students engaged in the major and create a better transition from undergraduate to graduate.  Course sequences were re-arranged with one 3 credit elective dropped with the addition of the seminar courses.  Math 110 to be replaced with M140 adding one credit overall to the program (125 total to become 126).  Note: the number of credits listed on Program of Study sheets for minors in other disciplines should be verified.
