Educational Main Street's mission is to provide academic support to children and their families in selected schools in Hartford and Bloomfield, Conn., to increase these young students' chances of graduating from high school and moving on to post-secondary education.

The second focus of EMS's mission is to provide meaningful service-learning opportunities to University of Hartford undergraduate and graduate students that connects their service with their academic courses. The University of Hartford students tutor in the partner schools during the school day and after school. EMS provides parents and teachers with workshops on important educational issues.

EMS is located on the University of Hartford's main campus in Gengras Student Union, Room 207.
