Development of Solid Absorbents for the Capture of
Greenhouse Gasses |
|
Problem
Statement: Emissions from stationary power
plants account for about one third of US greenhouse
gas emissions.
Description: This project has developed
novel solid absorbents with a high capacity for CO2
gas capture. These absorbents have used high
molecular weight amine mixtures impregnated into
non-ionic polymeric supports to achieve their high
capture efficiency.
