Known for being a “communicative player with natural musicality,” Nick Cutroneo is an up and coming classical guitar of the new generation. As an active performer, Mr. Cutroneo has performed extensively throughout the New England area, New York, New Jersey and in Italy. Pervious concert seasons included performances at The Juilliard School of Music, The Hartt School, as a part of numerous concert series of churches in New Jersey, a duo performance and participation at a master class at Yale’s “Guitar Day”, several Alumni events for the University of Hartford, in 2005 he was a part of a trio that performed for the Connecticut Guitar Society’s “Guitar Extravaganza Weekend” and a variety of other performances throughout the North East.
The 2008-2009 concert season include a premier of Dan Lis's Guitar Concerto No. 1, the premier Sean Pallatroni's Quartet for Flute, Percussion, Harp and Guitar as well as a performance with the Miami String Quartet on their competition winners concert. Mr. Cutroneo has been named finalist in the Hartt School's 2008 Paranov Concerto Competition and Semifinalist in the Boston GuitarFest 2008 adult competition.
Not only a soloist, Mr. Cutroneo is a sought after chamber musician. He has played with two chamber groups in New England: Blackledge Music and The Northeast Music Collective. Currently he’s involved with a Guitar Quartet and a Guitar Duo both based out of the Hartford area. Mr. Cutroneo is also a member of the prestigious Performance 20/20 honors chamber music program at the Hartt School.
Mr. Cutroneo also maintains an active private teaching studio in Connecticut and is currently on faculty at the University of Connecticut’s Community School of the Arts in Storrs, CT and at MusicMakers Academy in Manchester, CT. Active in the community, Mr. Cutroneo performs regularly at assisted living facilities providing an enjoyable and varied musical and educational experience to the residents. He also provides master classes and lectures to high school music programs.
As a high school senior, he attended the Pre-College division at the Juilliard School of Music and studied with Antigoni Goni. He is currently attending the Hartt School of Music for completion of his Masters in Music and studies with Richard Provost and Christopher Ladd.

Mr. Cutroneo has performed in master classes in a chamber setting for Eden-Stell and The Romeros. As a soloist, he’s performed for Andrew York, William Kanengiser, Scott Tennant, Jason Viexau, Ana Vidovic, Carlo Marchione, Martha Masters, Marcin Dylla, Manuel Barrueco, and Oscar Ghiglia.
