Freshmen in the School of Communication are able to take courses in the major their first semester.
Our undergraduate program adheres to our mission and our educational philosophy. With the right mix of academic and professionally-oriented coursework and a broad array of communication courses, our curriculum is designed to enable you to graduate ready to enter the work world but equipped with the knowledge and skills that allow you to adapt to change.
With an advisor to guide you, the undergraduate Communication major includes a Core Curriculum to provide breadth and a choice of three Areas of Emphasis to enable specialization, along with elective courses from outside your chosen emphasis.
